Raggedy Stan’s Playpen
During childhood, play is an intrinsic part of our existence – a gateway to imagination, creativity, and self-discovery. It serves as a means of understanding the world around us and honing essential life skills. However, as societal pressures mount, we are subtly encouraged to abandon play.
The consequences of this abandonment become evident as we grow older. The loss of play can lead to heightened stress, anxiety, and depression, as we struggle to cope with the demands of adulthood without a healthy outlet for expression and release. The suppression of play denies us the chance to tap into our inner child, dampening our capacity for joy and leaving us emotionally unfulfilled.
In this group exhibition you will experience a collaborative installation by Raggedy Stan and the artists.
Artists include Bailey Anderson, Katie B. Funk, Nishan Ganimian, Karla Lagunas, Keeva Lough, Iulia Octavia, Miguel Rodriguez, and Romina Villarreal.
